Seating Charts helps you design event floor plans — lay out the room, drop in tables and chairs, then drag every guest to a seat. If something is not working or you have a question, we are happy to help.
No. Tap "Try it without an account" and start designing — your charts are still saved and safe. Just know that this session is tied to your installation of the app: create an account with your email (Settings → Sign out, then sign up) before switching phones or deleting the app, and your charts follow you.
Open a chart, tap Guests in the bottom bar, and drag a guest chip onto a table — or onto a specific chair for an exact seat. Drop a guest on an occupied chair and the two guests swap places. Auto-seat fills every table for you, keeping groups together where they fit.
Tap an item to select it, then drag the corner handles to resize or the handle above it to rotate. Double-tap any item for its full properties — exact size, seat count, colour, and label.
Yes — in the editor open the menu (⋮) → Room & units. Shrinking the room keeps everything inside it, and switching between meters and feet converts every measurement shown.
Open a chart, tap Guests, then the add button. You can type or paste a list (one per line, optionally Name, Group, PartySize), pick people from your Contacts, import a .csv export from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, or drop in 30 sample guests to try things out. A party size of 3 becomes three guests, because a seating chart needs one chair per person.
No. The app reads display names only, shows you the list, and adds just the people you tick. Nothing is uploaded and unselected contacts are never stored. You can skip the permission entirely and paste a list instead.
Sign in with the same email on the other device and your charts appear automatically. Guest sessions cannot be transferred — add an email to your account first.
Seating Charts is currently free, with no purchases and no ads.
Open Settings → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account and every chart from our servers. You can also email us and we will delete it for you. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
