These terms govern your use of the Seating Charts mobile application
("the app", "the service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using
the app, you agree to these terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please
do not use the app.
1. The service
Seating Charts provides tools for designing event floor plans: laying
out a room with tables, chairs, and other objects, keeping a guest list,
and assigning guests to seats. Your charts are stored on our servers and
sync to the devices you sign in on. Features may change over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in
your country) to use the app.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for all
activity under your account.
- You can use the app without an account. Charts made this way are
tied to your installation of the app; add an email to your account to
keep them across devices.
3. Your content
- You own the content you add — your charts, room layouts, and guest
lists.
- You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and
transmit that content solely to provide the service (for example,
syncing it to your devices).
- You are responsible for the content you enter and for having the
necessary rights to it, including consent to record other people's
names in your guest lists.
4. Pricing and subscriptions
Seating Charts is free to download and use, with one saved chart and
no advertising. Accounts that existed before Seating Charts Pro launched
keep full access at no charge.
Seating Charts Pro is an optional, auto-renewing
subscription that lets you keep as many charts as you need. It is
offered with weekly, monthly, or yearly billing. All three plans unlock
the same features and belong to one subscription group, so you can hold
only one of them at a time. The price of each plan is shown in the app
in your local currency before you buy. Depending on where you live, the
price may include sales tax or VAT.
- Free trial — where a plan includes one (currently
the yearly plan, with 14 days free), you are not charged during the
trial. When it ends, the subscription starts and the plan's price is
charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Introductory offers, including the free trial, are limited to one per
person per subscription group, as the App Store or Google Play
determines. If you are not eligible, the app shows the plan without the
trial, and you are charged when you subscribe.
- Automatic renewal — your subscription renews
automatically at the end of each week, month, or year, and the plan's
current price is charged, until you cancel. To avoid the next charge,
cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Billing — payment is charged to your Apple Account
if you subscribe through the App Store, or to your Google Play account
if you subscribe through Google Play, under Apple's or Google's terms.
We never receive or store your card details.
- Cancelling — you can cancel at any time. On an
iPhone or iPad, go to Settings › your name ›
Subscriptions. On Android, open the
Google Play app and go to Payments &
subscriptions › Subscriptions. After you cancel, Pro stays
active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then
does not renew. Deleting the app, or your Seating Charts account, does
not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds — the App Store and Google Play handle
billing and refunds under their own terms and refund policies, and we
cannot issue refunds for their purchases ourselves. Request one from
Apple at
reportaproblem.apple.com,
or from Google through your Google Play order history. Except where the
store or the law provides otherwise, a period that has started is not
refunded in part.
- Restoring purchases — a subscription belongs to the
Apple Account or Google account that bought it. Use Restore
purchases in the app to unlock Pro on another device or after
reinstalling.
- Price changes — we may change subscription prices.
Any change follows the App Store's or Google Play's rules, which include
telling you in advance and, where they require it, asking for your
agreement before a higher price applies. A change never affects a period
you have already paid for.
- Trial reminder — when you start a free trial, the
app can schedule an optional reminder on your device a few days before
the trial ends. It is a courtesy, not a guarantee: whether it arrives
depends on your device and its notification settings. Cancelling in
time remains your responsibility if you do not want to be charged.
- When Pro ends — your charts are not deleted. They
stay in your account and remain yours. Creating or duplicating charts
beyond what the free tier allows needs Pro again.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access
other users' data, uploading unlawful content, reverse engineering the
app, or interfering with its operation. We may suspend accounts that
violate these terms.
6. Our intellectual property
The app, its design, and its software are owned by us and protected by
applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant you any
rights to our trademarks or code beyond using the app as intended.
7. Disclaimers
Seating Charts is a planning tool. Room dimensions, item sizes, and
capacity figures are aids for your own planning, not professional advice —
always confirm capacity, accessibility, and fire-safety requirements with
your venue and local regulations. The service is provided "as is" and "as
available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent
permitted by law. We recommend keeping your own copies of critical
plans.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for
indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of
data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our
total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the
twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time
from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deleting your
account does not cancel a Seating Charts Pro subscription; cancel it in
the App Store or Google Play, as described in section 4. We may
suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where
practicable. Sections 3, 6, 7, and 8 survive termination.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes
will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and continued use of
the app after changes means you accept them.
