Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Seating Charts mobile application ("the app", "the service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

Seating Charts provides tools for designing event floor plans: laying out a room with tables, chairs, and other objects, keeping a guest list, and assigning guests to seats. Your charts are stored on our servers and sync to the devices you sign in on. Features may change over time.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the app.
• You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You can use the app without an account. Charts made this way are tied to your installation of the app; add an email to your account to keep them across devices.

3. Your content

• You own the content you add — your charts, room layouts, and guest lists.
• You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service (for example, syncing it to your devices).
• You are responsible for the content you enter and for having the necessary rights to it, including consent to record other people's names in your guest lists.

4. Pricing

The app is currently free, with no purchases and no advertising. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be clearly priced in the app before any purchase, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms, and these terms will be updated. Charts you have already created will remain yours.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including attempting to access other users' data, uploading unlawful content, reverse engineering the app, or interfering with its operation. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. Our intellectual property

The app, its design, and its software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or code beyond using the app as intended.

7. Disclaimers

Seating Charts is a planning tool. Room dimensions, item sizes, and capacity figures are aids for your own planning, not professional advice — always confirm capacity, accessibility, and fire-safety requirements with your venue and local regulations. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We recommend keeping your own copies of critical plans.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections 3, 6, 7, and 8 survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the app after changes means you accept them.
